ABOUT ME
Although creative in many different areas all my life, it
wasn't until I purchased my first "Handyman Special"
(a 1924 cottage in Valois-Pte. Claire, Qc) in 2000 that I discovered my true passion of design and decor.
Gutting and rebuilding an old cottage on a limited budget provided me with the creative challenge that my
professional career as an Accountant could not, and
I was hooked!
Over the past 10 years I have informally assisted many people in finding ways to improve their homes beauty, functionality, and value - always on a modest budget: the most challenging way to work. When my employer of 20+ years closed it's doors in the summer of 2009, I elected
to transform my true passion into a new full-time career.
Although having no formal degree in design /decor, I have taken numerous courses over the years, and these, combined with my natural ability, intuition and 10 years of hands-on experience have given me the working
knowledge required to meet the needs of my clients.
I stay current on new products and trends so that I can
offer my clients the most up-to-date solutions and options.
I hope that the examples of some of my work illustrated
on my "Before & After" page demonstrates my talent sufficiently for you to feel confident in my abilities.
I presently reside in the picturesque town of Vankleek Hill, Ontario (the midway point between Montreal and Ottawa), with my 2 Jack Russell Terriers and Siamese mix, in an 1890's farmhouse, which, of course, I am renovating!
